PARENTAL DREAMS (part-2)

PARENTAL DREAMS (part-2)
Parents know well that they have little control over their children as soon as they become adults. But still the desire to control may linger out of habit. Parents may be a  linger lenient in this matter when their child lives according to their expectation. But not when the situation is just the other way round. Parents try to exercise maximum control upon a wayward adult. But unfortunately, this may aggravate the problem ! Parenting is the vocation of weaning a child to independence-

Physical,  psychological  , spiritual . And not keeping the child under control forever. The parents should feel content about the job they have done in the given time and leave the rest to God. They have to let go of all their negative feeling of guilt, anger, disappointment, etc. For, after all, all these days they have been very good parents to their child and they still are. This is not completely abandoning the parental duties but merely shifting to another phase of parenting.
